About

As I embark on my new journey on MA Digital Fashion at LCF, I felt that this would be the perfect moment for the self-reflections and critical analysis of research that I undertake to be displayed in this form of digital media.   Therefore the initial aims and objectives of this blog is document my path throughout the MA degree, whether this be through critical thinking, visual diary entries, reflective writing, or presenting digital design.  However, this is not to say that all posts that will be featuring on this blog will be directly linked to the unit briefs set by the course, but also the flashes of inspiration that I may be thinking of developing and experimenting somehow.  The flexibility of blogs suits this need perfectly.

For those of you whom do not know me, and fresh readers to the blog, my background belongs in clothing product design in development.  Having graduated from a BA (Hons) in Product Design and Development for the Fashion Industries at the London College of Fashion, I decided that I wanted to further my knowledge and improve my skills as a designer and developer by undertaking an MA.  I appropriately fell into the digital world at LCF when I was offered at post within the college as an Information Technology Advisor, and most recently a secondment within the CLTAD department working with e-technologies.  This has all fed into each other, and digital has now shone through as one of my better strengths.  I do think that the next 15 months or so will be hectic, as well as a struggle, but I do think that’s part of the fun.  To be mentally stimulated constantly is all of part of the fun.

Hopefully this blog will provide an interesting read for those of you whom stumble on it, and for Sue, the course director of the MA, an insight to my thought processes.
